10 Web Sites Every Marketing Genius Should Bookmark
1. MarketingSherpa.com. One of the more scholarly of the marketing sites, MarketingSherpa is focused on providing stats and research to back up what marketing experts say. Although the site isn’t visually as impressive as some others, they offer a free trial membership for 10 days—at the end of which you’ll probably realize what an excellent resource this site is.
2. MarketingProfs.com. Now this site, on the other hand, has got one of the most visually arresting home pages around. Great content too: featured articles, access to online seminars, case studies and research results, and more.
3. Whamwiki.com. From the website: “The goal is to collaboratively create the ultimate collection of how-to lists for marketers.” It’s hard to argue with that. Indeed, a quick perusal of the top articles include, “How to Remove Bad Press from the Internet,” and “Using YouTube Videos for Viral Marketing.”
4. OneDegree.ca. Reading almost like a blog, OneDegree has helpful posts on every aspect of marketing, from advice for social media marketers to real-life experience. Plus they’ve got links to Canada jobs, conferences, event listings, and videos for the tireless marketer to watch.

6. SethGodin.com. One of the most well-known marketers on the web, Seth updates his blog daily with tips for marketers and just about anyone who wants to know how to keep people interested. He’s written lots of books about marketing, including Permission Marketing, All Marketers Are Liars…basically, if you’re in marketing, and you don’t have at least one of his books, you need to go buy one now.
7. AdsoftheWorld.com. One of those websites that make you go, “I wish I’d thought of that.” Driven entirely by user submissions, this site has thousands of print, outdoor, TV, movie, and even radio ads that you can use any way you like. Inspiration? Tons of it. Humor? Some of that, too. Who knows, you might find the seed for your next marketing campaign here.
8. AdAge.com. The leading publication for advertisers, Advertising Age’s online version is every bit as compelling as the print version, only with constant updates and access to far more resources. 9. eMarketer.com. With data aggregated from over 4,000 worldwide sources, eMarketer’s got some serious clout in the marketing industry. Their Daily newsletter is available free, too—just sign up with your email address.
